What do we do?

Listen! Firstly we listen! We are great at listening and we get a great deal of important information regarding your health and history that help us diagnose your problem and to provide the best treatment.

During your first visit you will be asked to complete a health history that will provide us with important information about your health and help us find the best treatment for you. We will review your current problems and establish an understanding of your health and needs. Once we have all the information we need we will do an examination including spinal range of motion, orthopaedic and neurological testing and postural evaluation.

What we offer

Chiropractic & Osteopathy

There are many different chiropractic and osteopathic techniques available today. Some techniques involve manual adjusting where a cracking sound is sometimes heard, whilst others involve drop tables, blocks and special hand held machines where there is no cracking sound at all. The most important thing is that it is not about the technique, it’s about you, the patient, getting well. Most different techniques work well with most people however there are some patients who find only certain methods seem to help them. During your initial visit we will discuss with you what technique will suit you and give you the best results. Our aim is to find the best technique for each individual patient.

X Rays

We don’t refer all patients for X Rays however it is a simple matter to get X Rays of the spine if needed. X Rays can show us the quality of your discs and bones and also to detect problems such as spinal curvatures or bone degeneration. They also help us to help rule out any disease processes, like cancer or arthritis. This helps us work out the best and safest treatment for you. We always ask patients to bring in their previous X Rays and other scans, ultrasounds etc if they have them.

If you want a faster recovery, greater postural strength and fewer bouts of spinal pain just follow our simple exercises that we give you.

Most of our treatments include some soft tissue/massage techniques. This is most important in chronic problems where the deep muscle and fascia can keep us in a twisted or misaligned position. With our patients we have found in working with not only the spine but the soft (or sometimes not so soft) tissues this really helps in getting the best adjustment and the most lasting benefit to hold the adjustment. Your comfort is our priority, and we tailor our massages to suit your needs.

Ultrasound & Electrophysical Therapy

Ultrasound and other electro physical therapy are also used for some injuries in our clinic. These are especially helpful in acute sprains and strains and other sporting injuries.

Ergonomic Advice

We are always giving helpful hints for how to use your spine and body in daily activities whether it be the strains of computer work or best positions for lifting at work or home.

We are dedicated to developing strong relationships with local GPs and actively refer clients to consult with their GP if they require care or treatment beyond our practice. It is an important role of our Chiropractors to assess when not to treat and when referral is necessary. We also have a great network of local complementary treatment therapists as well as fitness and rehabilitation experts to whom we can refer our patients.

Gait Scan & Orthotics

Abnormal foot function can affect not only the feet but other parts of the body including knees, hips and back, causing pain and discomfort. For this reason, Cice Chiropractic has installed state of the art computer technology that helps the chiropractor assess and analyse the feet via a gait scan to see if orthotics would help put back a spring in your step. You can see how your foot moves through a step which then assists us in assessing whether orthotics would improve your posture and help ankle, knee, hip and lower back alignment. Orthotics specially made for your feet can be ordered to correct the foot function and restore a more efficient and less stressful walking pattern.
